Because the card uses money already loaded into the account, it can also appeal to people who want the convenience of card payments without carrying a traditional revolving credit-card balance. The referral offer is worth checking carefully because KOHO changes its promotions over time. Under the current program, a new user needs to join through a referral link, verify their account and make a qualifying purchase of at least $20 within 30 days. KOHO currently advertises three free months of its Everything plan for the referred user, while referral rewards for existing members vary according to their KOHO plan. That changing reward structure is also why I would verify the exact offer shown in the KOHO app rather than relying on an older bonus amount published elsewhere. The main trade-off is that KOHO's strongest benefits are plan-dependent. Some paid tiers provide better cash back, interest or other features, so the long-term value depends on whether those benefits justify the subscription cost for your spending habits. I've been using Koho for a while now, and I have no complaints so far. The prepaid card helps me manage my budget better, and the Everything plan gives me access to a pretty attractive 3.5% interest rate for my emergency fund.

I've been with koho for 2 years now absolutely no complaints, I get direct deposit one day early whether it's government income (GST) or employment income, and they're cheaper than a bank, would highly recommend!
