I started using the Step app shortly after it came out and have been using it ever since. It really does help your credit... And yes it is actually free. It's the only banking app (that I know of) that has a free plan that helps build credit, offers cashback on ALL purchases and gives multiple ways to earn money (Trivia, videos, games, etc). So with or without using my referral I still highly recommend.
